Ahu Akgün obtained her master’s degree in Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design from Sabancı University in 2018. In 2022, she joined the Proficiency in Arts program at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University’s Painting Department where she had previously completed her undergraduate studies. Since 2009, Akgün’s works have been featured in numerous group exhibitions. She was the recipient of the 37th Akbank Contemporary Artists Prize in 2019. Her first solo show was held in Istanbul in 2020. The artist continues to work in her Istanbul-based studio.
