While serving as a Professor at Hacettepe University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, in Painting Department, Necla Rüzgar exhibited her paintings, sculptures, photographs and videos in various cities including Istanbul, Mardin, Diyarbakır, Berlin, Zurich, Lyon, and Seoul. Her works have been shown at the Akademie der Künste Berlin and the National Museum of Contemporary Art Bucharest. She received an invitation to the first Salon Blanche in Zurich in 2016, hosted by Swiss curator and art critic Susann Wintsch and Chris Bünter. In 2017, Wintsch curated the exhibition "Vertical Dialog" at Galerie Widmer, again in Zurich, drawing attention to the intellectual and aesthetic similarities between Paola Junqueira from São Paulo and Necla Rüzgar. Rüzgar also participated in the Ayse Umur, Agah Ugur collection exhibition "Freundschaftsspiel Istanbul: Freiburg" at the Museum Für Neue Kunst in 2016 and the "The Compiler Screenings" at Stadtkino Basel in 2017. Her exhibition named "Creatures with Multiple Hearts" curated by Deniz Artun at Galata Greek School in 2018, served as a comprehensive retrospective and selected recent works from this exhibition were invited to the "Éloge de la Curiosité" exhibition held at Galerie Henri Chartier as a parallel event to the Lyon Biennale. The artist's "Inner Fauna" was on view for two years in Istanbul Modern's collection exhibition titled "In Pursuit of the Present". Most recently, Necla Rüzgar was invited to create an exhibition of one-hundred pieces in Grimmwelt Museum Kassel's gallery dedicated to contemporary artists to accompany its collection. With her exhibition "My Name Was Written on Every Page", which took place between November 2021 and April 2022, Rüzgar combined the drawings of the same title with watercolors from her archive, thus reweaving the backbone of more than two decades of her work for international audiences.
